Jayda's Second Rock Concert

Jayda went to her second ever rock concert this year. Her Dad was doing lights for KISS ALIVE, a KISS tribute band. Both Jayda and Amelia love to sing and dance and know the words to many KISS songs. But when it came to having photos done with the band Jayda got a little scared of Gene Simmons because she saw him spit blood. It was quite funny.

Jayda's 3rd Birthday Party

Today Jayda celebrates her 3rd Birthday, though we had her party on the weekend at her Nan and Pops. Tiff's Mum had decorated everything in Jayda's favourite colour PURPLE. We had a sausage sizzle then Jayda opened her presents. She got games,sunglasses and lots of clothes. Tiff made her a Abby Cadabby cake and again she did an amazing job. So from all the family Happy Birthday Jayda, we love you very much.

Easter 2012

Well it's that time of year again when the Easter bunny hops into the backyard and leaves some tasty treats. The girls were up early and very keen to get outside, but first they had to look under their beds to see if anything was left there and both were surprised to find something. Next it was outside and Amelia was very quick to start filling her basket, but Jayda was catching up. The girls ended up with full baskets and a breakfast of easter eggs.

Dermatology Appointment

Jayda had her dermatology appt on the 17th of March. This appt was to determine when Jayda would start her laser surgery and to see how she is going overall. Well we had great news that Jayda is booked in the first of maybe three laser surgeries on the 7th of May. This will be performed under a General Aneasthetic so it is always a bit of a worry. Her Dr was very excited at the outcomes for Jayda and we can't wait to see the wonders of laser surgery.

Australia Day

Every country has some sort of National day, but none celebrate like us Aussie's do on the 26th of January every year. AUSTRALIA DAY. Whether it be at the beach,having a BBQ or going to the Skyshow fireworks. With it being so hot here,42 degrees celcius we decided to stay home and enjoy our pool and air conditioning. Jayda has being quite reluctant to swim but today was the day she decided to swim by herself and she loved it. Her older sister has also become a lot more confident in the pool. We had our usual BBQ with lamb chops of course.

Children's TV Star

Jayda and Amelia had a chance to meet a TV Star called Jimmy Giggle. He is from the ABC show Giggle and Hoot. The girl's had no idea where they were going and were so surprised to see one of their TV idols. It was a very long wait, but the girl's were all smiles when it was their turn to have a photo taken with Jimmy Giggle and have their posters signed.

Amelia's 5th Birthday Party

On Sunday the 15th,January we had a pool party for Jayda's sister Amelia's 5th Birthday. This was the first year Amelia had invited friends so she was very excited. Amelia really wanted a guitar and she wasn't disappointed with her purple classical guitar. Tiff made Amelia a mermaid cake this year and it was another awesome cake. Amelia's friends came in the afternoon and you could not keep them out of the pool. We had a sausage sizzle for lunch,cut Amelia's cake and smashed the pinata. It was a great day.
